The Bunapi/shimeji mushrooms are from the Hokto Kinoko mushroom farm in San Marcos.

We did it. We now have a mushroom connect. The mushroom farm farm does not sell direct. But let’s just say that we know a guy who knows a guy.

If you want to know how to get more Bunapi mushrooms go the Hokto Kinoko website and click the store locator.

This is a beautiful crop of rapini. Just because its name has the word broccoli in it, does not mean it does not have a strong flavor. Because it does. To me, rapini tastes like mild mustard greens with faint notes of broccoli. We just had some rapini suated with garlic, bunapi mushrooms, tarragon, lemon zest, and pine nuts over wild rice. Rapina and mushrooms get along quite well.
